Nomadic Evolution

Writer: CAMILA RIOS ALBERTINICAMILA RIOS ALBERTINI

In 2016, as I began my journey around the world, I sourced the lightest and smallest gear available and set out to explore the planet carrying exactly 40 kilos of luggage. Clothes, a tent, sleeping bag, stove, food, tools, and a basic first aid kit became my home for 4 beautiful years, an exercise in life that simplified everything.

Today, with more experience, I’ve reduced my luggage to 30 kilos, which may seem like little for many, but for a motorcyclist traveler, it’s significant. A smaller, more powerful camera, an inflatable mattress weighing just 300 grams, lighter and more functional camping gear, and even a computer that’s 500 grams lighter. Every little bit counts... or detracts, depending on the perspective.
